This time tomorrow, I should be home on the sofa, feet up, hook in hand, happily enjoying the start of my vacation!

My motifs are next up in my "swap queue." And then I need to whip up a couple of dishcloths...

I did a search last night for some patterns and picked out 4 I found online that I'd like to try. One involves the dreaded bullion stitch, so it may not make the final cut...

So far, I have a:
Sender's choice
Design your own
Flower
Bullion
Octagon
Bobble (which took all of my internet detecting skills to find the pattern for because I found the image via a Google search, but it led to a not-linked-to-the-original-source Pinterest item,  but after about 20 minutes of Google-Fu, I finally found it!)

I have a couple of possible patterns that could work for complimentary colors and/or 3 shades or tones of 1 color. I have an animal pattern I want to make (but it might be a keeper for me Smiley ), and possibly a plant-themed one.

I'm having trouble with the yarn colors. Most of the jewel-tone yarns I've used in the past came from a bin of yarn that contained yarn given to me for use in my after school crochet club. The bin was at home for a while because the club died out, but I started it up again this year, and the yarn got used up by the kids. So, once I dig out all of my acrylics yarns later today, I'll take an inventory and see what colors I need to supplement with. A bit of vacation yarn shopping might be in order! Smiley

Nice!  How's everyone else doing? Send-outs are actually coming up not too far away! I've got one partner done, 2 to go, yikes! I'm going out of town next week, I think my goal before I leave will be to finish one more partner (or at least get the bulk done).

I came across a neat tutorial for the bullion stitch that makes it look possible to actually complete it! I'm heading to the store tomorrow to get some stuff, so tomorrow night, I can give it another try!

I did go to Michael's today to buy yarn, but as I looked at their acrylic supply, I said, "I have that, I have that, and I have that!" So, I need to dig it all out (because I must have missed it when digging out the cotton yarn for the dishcloth swap).

I've scrapped one thing and replaced it with something I like better. So far I'm at 5 motifs and 29". Hopefully I'll be finished tomorrow and mailed on Thurs.

I have 2 motifs finished, and yarn gathered up (I couldn't resist... I piked up 2 skeins today) for the next ones on the list...

I think I'm going to work on one of them in a few minutes...

I finished up a motif last night (a practice one for me, and then one for MareMare), and then tonight, I finished another one (again, practice & official ones). Tonight's motif had an interesting technique that I wanted to try, and I like how if came out. I still haven't attempted the bullion...

So, I've got 4 motifs made, for a total of 18 inches! I'll tackle another one tomorrow, but then won't be able to work on any more until Friday...
