That looks totally cute, fantasticmio! How did you deal with the ends? And, did you just slip stitch with it? It looks like it would make a fantastically cuddly blanket...

And, Kittymom, when away on vacations or retreats, some loosening of the restraints is totally acceptable! After drastically reducing my craft store spending, I did go a little crazy when I had the chance to visit a Hobby Lobby while on vacation in FL Smiley

ETA: Never mind the questions! I just read your blog post! Smiley

fantasticmio - that looks too neat Smiley  My soon to be DIL had some of the pom pom yarn, she said it was much easier to knit with it than to crochet. I personally dont know as that was the first time I had seen it!

I think I put on the survey thingy that I did not care one way or another whether what kind of yarn was used Smiley I'm just tickled pink to get something in the mail that isn't a bill!

I didn't find it hard to crochet with, but I haven't tried knitting with it yet to be able to compare.

What I do know is that that ruffle yarn that's so popular these days is easier to crochet with than to knit with!

One pair of socks and two baby sweaters...I know ecactly what I was going to do w/the yarn...I did get one skein of the ruffle scarf variety back in January....I knit it up rather quickly(it was fussy, even on bamboo)....I like the scarf and have been told it looks like I just got back from Hawaii...a flowered lei!   Wink

Seriously, now that I'm not in La-La Retreat [no]time-zone...I'd better get my schedule down for some serious crochet of motifs....research and trial/error....I'm getting psyched for this to begin...yet glad I have a few days to organize still!!

I am in the process of picking out some patterns... I may try a few that are available online instead of from my books.

And, I can't remember if I put in my questionnaire that I'd love to have as many non-square motifs as possible!

Hey peeps! I should have them out tonight, but I am really really sick, so can't promise what time. It could be after midnight so please don't wait up for them or anything (I've been taking a long, weird "nap" in the evening and waking up around 10 or 11)
