Quite some time ago I saw this awesome post of a mardi gras costume made from stuffies:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=375296.0

...and thus started collecting neglected stuffies from thrift stores.... and I ended up making ...

TA DAAAA! A Stuffie throne! Grin Grin Grin

It started as an old chair, a leo-pattern blanket and 27 stuffies.... So first I made the cover for the chair..

and a little pillow to sit on...

... and then flattened all the stuffies except for the heads and some of the limbs ( I do remember a creepy Toy-Story-feeling gripping me now and then, but I do believe all the stuffies are much happier now than they would have been , being used as chew-toys for dogs..) and attached them all over and now, it looks like this:

.. cuddly and cute and actually quite charming in real life... and all that for the low, low price of about 20 Dollars.... Grin

and I even have an action shot: Grin

What do you think?
Comments and critique are very welcome! Grin

You're quite mad, but I love it! You must have had so much fun deciding which stuffie went where, and you look great sitting on your throne!

She's not mad, she's a genius!  Amazing work as all ways BB.  I drove for 3 hours today and I spent a bunch of time thinking about making one my self.  And the chair I'm going to use is just about as lovely as the one you started with Grin

Oh, thank you all for your lovely comments!
craftladyofsteel - I do admit to having a couple of images like that in my head...I think there even was some Disney villian who sat on a pile of skulls, but it's so hard to find stuffie-skulls Grin
Angry Angel - yeah, I suppose, I am a little mad ( I try to hide it though) Grin And they were all fun to attach, but the funniest was the demented bird in the front Wink
coconutbells - I vote you make one! Pictures don't really do it justice, it looks really nice in real life..
jillybeans - You should make one too! I think all stuffiemakers deserve to have one....
suereal - Awww, you are wonderful, Dearest! I'd love to find out if the shop keepers looked as oddly at you as they did when I bought huge bags of stuffies Grin And to think that all they imagined about what kind of mental illness ails me, isn't even close to the truth Grin...

We would all make thrones!  I'm imagining stuffies for me too (of course).  But I think I want 2 bags. *wicked grin*

I hope you understand that 'mad' is a compliment, as in 'not bound by boring everyday conventions'  Grin. The demented bird is especially fun.

Oh sure, Angry Angel!  Grin What would the world be without a little madness in it?.... and it's always fun to be a bit mad- it keeps the boring reality-bits at a safe distance Wink
