Hello! I'm amnesia and I live in San Francisco. I love ethnic textile design, drawing, quilting, reading (particularly sci fi, world literature, post-apocalyptic stories, and nonfiction books about memory and amnesia), yoga and dabbling in all sorts of things. I like many colors, and especially like interesting uses of line, color and contrast.  My favorite colors are probably shades of reds and blues, but I really am a fan of all colors.

Something inspired by:
1. Something inspired by the game Space Pirate Amazon Ninja Catgirls
2. Something inspired by one of the following shows/movies:
  + Dr. Who
  + Hunger Games
  + Big Bang Theory
  + Grimm
+ Would you Rather? (BBC America)
  + Secret Garden (Korean)
+ Any 1960s New Wave film
3. Street/graffiti art
4. A spring scene that includes rain, umbrellas or flowers
5. Llamas!
6. Some representation of the three wise monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_wise_monkeys
7. A sign to convey that you should please remove your shoes.
8. Something inspired by the Book of Kells illustrations
9. Something inspired by Hokusai's Great Wave of Kanazawa
10. Something inspired by the On the Walls or Hoopla boards of my pinterest:

I am claiming julie85 for a gnomes hoop! Send by April 7th (1,0,0)

My name is Carey, 35, and I live in Palmer Alaska.  I am a Registered Nurse and work an hour away in Anchorage.  I am originally from Northwestern Wisconsin.  I have two darling teen daughters ages 13 and 14, and a hubby who is going back to school for engineering.  We have a awesome dog Buddy, rescued American Cocker Spaniel and two individual black cats, Harley and Gypsi.  We love the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking.  I am a earthy, hippiesque person who loves to garden, recycle, compost and the like.  I am pretty ecclectic but don't care to receive political or religious items. Fave colors are purple/blue/green, silvers.  Though I am ok with profanity and nudity, we have a slew of other kids in and out of our house, so no need to traumatize them! lol  I want to decorate my different areas in my house besides a HOOPLA wall, see in themes below:

My themes: (asterik by the fave themes)

laundry* (for the newly constructed laundry area)
owls
gnomes*
crafts (I do them ALL, so anything)*
faeries
nursing/medical*
Blue Delft* (my kitchen is decorated in this)
northern lights
alaska
gothic
sillouette/negative space
skulls
day of the dead
canoeing
whimsical
quotes from my pinterest folder see link in signature
oriental/asian* (my living room is decorated in this theme with red walls and silver/light gold tones)
alaskan flowers/animals
Letters J, C, B, K
or Names: Jake, Carey, Breanna, Kayleigh, Buddy, Gypsi, Harley
gardening
native american
feathers*
ravens*
Halloween
old skeleton keys*
anything inspired by any pinterest boards!
weight loss quotes*

This is my first HOOPLA swap!  I love embroidery, I can't wait, I have been drooling over HOOPLA walls and finally have myself settled in our new house, ready to tackle a collection!

Hi! I'll fill in the rest of my post in a few minutes. I just want to get my claim down. I'm claiming faemystique for her list of names. So my send by date is 4/9/2012; my current status is one claim outstanding, zero sent and zero received.

Aaaaand:

I'm time and this will be my second craftster swap. I'm thirty-*mumble*
I live in the Dallas/fort worth metroplex in Texas. I'm not a girly-girl but I can appreciate things done that way if it's witty or satirical. My favorite colors are cobalt blue and emerald green.Actually I prefer the jewel tones over any other shades but I like bright saturated colors in general. The colors I don't like are oranges and browns and pastel or neon shades. I have a dirty, dirty sense of humor and profanity or nudity is just fine. So is anything 'gothic' or 'dark'. I used to be in the SCA and will begin to play again soon. I've got three furry barfing machines with very sharp claws living with me.

Themes:

Futurama
owls
cats
The Tick cartoon
history- in general but espcially the Byzantine empire
Science Fiction- favorite authors are Larry Niven, John Varley, Anne MacCaffrey and CJ Cherryh
If anyone sees fit to embroider this: "SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS!" I'd probably wet myself from happiness.
steampunk

No wists or pinterest sorry!
