Please make sure you are not late in any of your other swaps before committing to this one. Please make those swaps your priority.

HOW THIS SWAP WORKS:
Claims are made throughout the month.  You have three weeks from the time you make a claim to send that claim.
You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the month as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a hoopla that has not been received; when that hoopla is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to bring it back up to 2 or 3.) If, at any point, you already have one claim that will be sent out late, please don't claim again until that one is sent out.

FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 3 outstanding claims.
Non-FOCs are allowed to make a maximum of 2 outstanding claims.
First time swappers are allowed to make a maximum of 1 outstanding claim.

Posting pictures of received hooplas is required for this swap.
If you are unable to do so, you are expected to contact the person who claimed you and ask them to please do so for you.

CLAIMING
1. Claims are made using the following procedure:

Person A (the swap organizer) will begin the swap by posting a list of themes in this swap thread.
Person B will choose a theme from one of A's themes and make a claim by posting his/her own list (see below for formatting of post).
Person C will make a claim on one of B's themes and post his/her own list.
Person D will make a claim on one of C's themes and post his/her own list etc...

This continues through the end of the month, when the swap organizer closes out the claiming part of the swap and continues this swap in the next round starting in the next month.

2. How to make a claim:
A claim post should include the following information:
1. The theme you are choosing and who youre sending it to.
2. The send by date (three weeks from the date the claim is made)
3. Statistical info about your current swap claims status:

Claims = Claims currently outstanding (ie., how many not yet received by their new owners.) (This number goes down each time a claim is received, and up each time you make a claim.)
Sent = anything currently in the mail.
Received = the hooplas received by the people you've sent them to.
Formatted thusly (claims outstanding/claims sent/claims received)

4. Your location.
5. Your personal preferences.
6. Your list of themes.
7. *Optional* Any wist or pinterest that would be relevant.

ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A CLAIM:
1. Send a personal message to the person you have claimed and request their address

2. You have 3 weeks to complete each hoopla (equivalent to at least a medium or 2 hours in crafting time), and have it in the mail to its new owner. You cannot have more than your maximum allotted claims outstanding (3 for FOC, 2 for non-FOC, 1 for new swappers)

ONCE YOU HAVE SENT OR RECEIVED A HOOPLA

1. Please PM the organizers (Averia & homerof2) and claimer/claimee when you send or receive a hoopla.
2.  Label the message as Ongoing Hoopla Swap Sent or Received,
3.  Be sure and include (1) the "send by" date, as well as (2) the theme and (3) who sent it

FEEDBACK
Positive feedback will be given when all of the hooplas you sent have been received.   Good communication is vital and will be noted in feedback.

ANY QUESTIONS?
If you have any questions please post them in the discussion thread or PM the organizer.  This thread is specifically for claims only.

I claim Sandroo for Disney villains

This is my first claim (1,0,0) Send by 3/29/12

I have a huge wall set aside for hoops and it has had many beautiful additions from swapping, but there is a ton of room left to fill.

I am a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity, steampunk, the color blue in all shades

Here are my themes!

  • lyrics to the Firefly theme song
  • something inspired by this embroidery http://inaminuteago.com/embroidery/embroidery8.html, tho i certainly don't expect anyone to put in quite so much effort. with or without lizards. I really love the crowded variety of textured stitches mixed with large blocks of a repeated pattern
  • the three characters '!@#'
  • blackwork
  • monochromatic in blues
  • a mini cross stitched quilt (any pattern)
  • silly frogs/tree frogs/faerie frog
  • Celtic knotwork
  • Meowth/Team Rocket
  • Abby from NCIS
  • The Letter K
  • Pinterest surprise
  • Anything at all that inspires you

Thank you!!!

I claim dewshinesdopp for a Sergeant Frog hoop.

1/0/0
Due April 6

Hello! I'm amalgam, 20-something years old and I live in Missouri. I'm living the single life in my little apartmart as I
try to declutter from the past 15 years of my life. I work for a government contractor, but I have a Bachelor's in
Theatre and Video which I haven't gotten to use yet and I'm really trying to hurry up and figure out what I'm going
to do with my life. My profile gives a pretty good overview of my likes and dislikes. My Wist is outdated but relevant
and I have tons of stuff on Pinterest, so there's plenty to get inspiration from.

Themes:

* Trees
*Japanese (I would love to have something with sashiko quilting or shibori in it)
*Geometric Shapes
*Button Tree
*Steampunk
*The letter 'S' embellished in some way (beads, doodles, etc.)

I am claiming julie85 for a gnomes hoop! Send by April 7th (1,0,0)

My name is Carey, 35, and I live in Palmer Alaska.  I am a Registered Nurse and work an hour away in Anchorage.  I am originally from Northwestern Wisconsin.  I have two darling teen daughters ages 13 and 14, and a hubby who is going back to school for engineering.  We have a awesome dog Buddy, rescued American Cocker Spaniel and two individual black cats, Harley and Gypsi.  We love the outdoors, camping, fishing, hiking.  I am a earthy, hippiesque person who loves to garden, recycle, compost and the like.  I am pretty ecclectic but don't care to receive political or religious items. Fave colors are purple/blue/green, silvers.  Though I am ok with profanity and nudity, we have a slew of other kids in and out of our house, so no need to traumatize them! lol  I want to decorate my different areas in my house besides a HOOPLA wall, see in themes below:

My themes: (asterik by the fave themes)

laundry* (for the newly constructed laundry area)
owls
gnomes*
crafts (I do them ALL, so anything)*
faeries
nursing/medical*
Blue Delft* (my kitchen is decorated in this)
northern lights
alaska
gothic
sillouette/negative space
skulls
day of the dead
canoeing
whimsical
quotes from my pinterest folder see link in signature
oriental/asian* (my living room is decorated in this theme with red walls and silver/light gold tones)
alaskan flowers/animals
Letters J, C, B, K
or Names: Jake, Carey, Breanna, Kayleigh, Buddy, Gypsi, Harley
gardening
native american
feathers*
ravens*
Halloween
old skeleton keys*
anything inspired by any pinterest boards!
weight loss quotes*

This is my first HOOPLA swap!  I love embroidery, I can't wait, I have been drooling over HOOPLA walls and finally have myself settled in our new house, ready to tackle a collection!

Hi! I'll fill in the rest of my post in a few minutes. I just want to get my claim down. I'm claiming faemystique for her list of names. So my send by date is 4/9/2012; my current status is one claim outstanding, zero sent and zero received.

Aaaaand:

I'm time and this will be my second craftster swap. I'm thirty-*mumble*
I live in the Dallas/fort worth metroplex in Texas. I'm not a girly-girl but I can appreciate things done that way if it's witty or satirical. My favorite colors are cobalt blue and emerald green.Actually I prefer the jewel tones over any other shades but I like bright saturated colors in general. The colors I don't like are oranges and browns and pastel or neon shades. I have a dirty, dirty sense of humor and profanity or nudity is just fine. So is anything 'gothic' or 'dark'. I used to be in the SCA and will begin to play again soon. I've got three furry barfing machines with very sharp claws living with me.

Themes:

Futurama
owls
cats
The Tick cartoon
history- in general but espcially the Byzantine empire
Science Fiction- favorite authors are Larry Niven, John Varley, Anne MacCaffrey and CJ Cherryh
If anyone sees fit to embroider this: "SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS!" I'd probably wet myself from happiness.
steampunk

No wists or pinterest sorry!

I claim thee...amnesia   Cheesy for something from pinterest hoopla board

This is my first claim (1,0,0) Send by 04/10/12

Christy here  Smiley I am 38 and live in Jacksonville, Florida.  I am originally from Michigan but have lived in 11 our great States. This is my first time doing an ongoing swap and a hoopla so I'm rather excited though generally I'm a relatively quiet person unless you add champagne so that doesn't happen too often, lol.  I work from home, do too many arts and crafts to list, I'm a wife and mother of 3 kids ranging in age from 5-16, and we have 1 dog plus 2 ferrets.

I don't actually need a 'hoop' I would like to frame whatever I receive so you'll save on shipping and have the hoop for another project. I can't stand Zombie Themes (really, dont get me started), Nudity (I have kids, and though we're not prudes we tend to keep our tata's to ourselves), or kitsch [shudder]

That being said there is a lot I do like! I tend to like things that are more realistic in coloring or shape.

  • Saltwater fish (outline only is ok)...like Black Drum, Flounder, Sea Bass, Grouper, Perch
(if you look at my profile you'll see the awesome red drum outline I got in another swap)
  • Trees/Woodland Theme
  • Think Indiana Jones and what he might have collected through his travels, I LOVE archeology and that was my first career choice though I lean more toward Norse or Mesopotamian/Akkadian, Mongolian, Thailand/Tibetan.
  • Birds
  • Flower Gardens
  • Herbs
  • Pinterest (I have an embroidery I like folder that I'm still adding to)

Hello! I'm amalgam, 20-something years old and I live in Missouri. I'm living the single life in my little apartmart as I
try to declutter from the past 15 years of my life. I work for a government contractor, but I have a Bachelor's in Theatre and Video which I haven't gotten to use yet and I'm really trying to hurry up and figure out what I'm going to do with my life. My profile gives a pretty good overview of my likes and dislikes. My Wist is outdated but relevant and I have tons of stuff on Pinterest, so there's plenty to get inspiration from.

*Japanese (I would love to have something with sashiko quilting or shibori in it)
*Geometric Shapes
*Button Tree
*Steampunk
*Trees
*Pinterest/Wist inspired (if you choose this, please ignore the Fitness Motivation board)

I claim amalgam for a 'trees' embroidery.

(1,0,0) Send by 4/11/12

Hello! I'm pennydreadfull (Jamie), I'm 28 and have been living in Pennsylvania for the last 5 years--originally from Jersey.  I have a cute little apartment all to myself with a hoopla wall begging for more awesome hoops!  I work in an office of a trucking company by day and spend my nights crafting away.  I have been crocheting like a crazy person for the last few months so I am really looking forward to picking up my embroidery needles and hoop again!
I have a pinterest account to give you some more ideas of my likes, also my blog although I've been slacking the last few weeks.
I'm not an especially girly kind of girl.  I like mostly creepy, crawly, scary type stuff.  That also means I like darker colors, blacks and greys.  I also really like jeweled tones - red, purple and green mostly.  I like both abstract and realisitic designs.  Nothing cutsie or too kitsch.

Themes-
Insects - beetles, spiders, bees/wasps
Crows/ravens
Elephants
flying bats
abstract skulls (like the tree/illusion skulls from urban threads or something similar)
Music notes
Something Irish inspired
the initial J
trees
the night sky
scissors
swirly, doodle, freeform anything
quote - "the sleep of reason produces monsters"

Thanks!!

Jamie

Thanks!!

Jamie

Ooohhh!  I claim vixen72 for Coffee/Tea Inspired

This is my second claim (2,0,0) Send by 04/15/12

Christy here  again, I'm still 38 (because I couldn't claim 29 thanks to those greys,) and I live in Jacksonville, Florida.  I am originally from Michigan but have lived in 11 our great States. This is my first time doing an ongoing swap and a hoopla so I'm rather excited though generally I'm a relatively quiet person unless you add champagne so that doesn't happen too often, lol.

I will most likely frame what I receive (unless I stick it on a pillow, lol) so if you want keep your hoop, you'll save on shipping and have the hoop for another project. I can't stand Zombie Themes (really, dont get me started), Nudity (I have kids, and though we're not prudes we tend to keep our tata's to ourselves), or kitsch [shudder]

That being said there is a lot I do like! I tend to like things that are more realistic in coloring or shape.

~Saltwater fish (outline only is ok)...like Black Drum, Flounder, Sea Bass, Grouper, Perch (if you look at my profile you'll see the awesome red drum outline I got in another swap)
    ~Trees/Woodland Theme
~Think Indiana Jones and what he might have collected through his travels, I LOVE archeology and that was my first career choice though I lean more toward Norse or Mesopotamian/Akkadian, Mongolian, Thailand/Tibetan.
    ~Birds
   ~ Flower Gardens
   ~ Herbs
~ Pinterest (I have an embroidery I like folder that I'm still adding to)

Hello! I'm amalgam, 20 something years old and I live in Missouri. I'm living the single life in my little apartmart as I try to declutter from the past 15 years of my life.

Themes:

*French Knot surprise
*Geometric Shapes
*Button Tree
*Steampunk
*Yotsuba&!

I am claiming amalgam for a button tree hoop! Send by April 21st (2,0,0)
