Hey, just wanted to put it out there... if anyone is interested in co-organizing this swap with me, I sure wouldn't mind an extra set of eyes helping me keep track of things.

I would love to do this swap...but... I am a total Newbie about hoops...never even made one.   I  am very afraid that I would start and not finish in time.

Can they be pretty much anything in a hoop?  Fabric with beads embroidered? Felting?  Cross stitch?

I'm not the organizer but from my past experience with these swaps I would say yes to your question.  I think as long as your hoop meets the medium standard, which is 2 or more hours of time, and fits within a category of the person you pick, your ideas would work.

LOL! I could cross stitch one little "X" and have it be a 2 hour project just trying to back the thing Smiley

I think I might join.  I have several hoops, tons for floss and fabric...hmm... just a theme list to come up with.

another dumb newbie question:

Do you have to put your list in the questionnaire or just say "yes" you have 5 possible themes?

Every skill level is welcome! Adding in different materials, beading, felt, whatever you think will make a great hoop for the theme you choose is fine.

You do not have to list your themes on the questionnaire.

Alright!  I'll give it a try.  I just hope that I don't wind up late or something, and that things turn out okay.

I have never actually done a hoop before.  No idea how to back it or anything.  As long as I can "play with it" a little and do something like felt piecing or something, should turn out halfway decent... (I hope).
