I got my package from IHeartsTheArts the other day! I've been so busy but I have pictures and an explanation now! Haha
Here is my package:

Everything! (minus the pack of erasers my friend begged for Smiley ) I love everything! And closeups of the things she made!

My awesome bracelet! It's so neat and I love how they hang!

And this fun bookmark! I love the handmade legs!

Thank you so much IHeartsTheArts! Smiley

And why I've been so busy and Mia the past few days:

Fabulous!  The house with the witches legs and ruby slippers is so great.

Sendouts tomorrow! I will try my best to get my package to CDEeek out but I may miss the post office hours due to work...
CDEeek is sending late with very good reason, so just an update.

Hello all

Mod 35 received last week but there's been a bit of confusion finding the gallery, so I'm going to go ahead and post pictures for her Smiley

One of the films she said she liked was Vertigo, the Hitchcock film with the iconic graphic poster.  I decided I wanted to do a print, and I do a little linocut so thought to start there.  Instead of featuring the male figure I thought a fun twist would be to bring the female figure to the fore in my version.  I did the red background with linocut and used a stencil I desgined/cut/painted for the figure.

Here's the original poster

and here's my print

My second item was inspired by my partner saying she loves the look of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffanys, and who doesn't, so beautiful and sleek and glamorous.

I found a cute drawing version online and used it to make a cross stitch.

Both items were a departure from anything I would have thought to make without the swap and my partners inspiration, so lots of fun for me Smiley

Hey everyone, I received from My_RubySlippers yesterday! After a horrible, and I do mean horrible week, this was so cute and happy to come home to. She actually made me a plushy from Metropolis, which is probably my favorite movie ever. Not only is it the Metropolis Fembot aka "The False Maria", but it is jointed and has this oh-so-innocent smile like the False Maria herself does in the film. Oh yeah, and boobs. It has boobs, just like in the film, lol. She also sent a Hollywood storage tin with stickers inside, and the stickers are actually ones I've been wanting to get from Hobby Lobby. So awesome! Here is a photo, if anyone wants other views, I'll haul my husband out of the man cave to take more. Thanks so much RubySlippers, you made my day.

Love that bookmark with the legs, reminds me of my favorite Halloween decoration, which is legs you stick under a pumpkin and looks like a squished witch. Also, loooove that hoopla of Hepburn. Beauty!
