Selvedge quilt - Semi log cabbin style

It took a bit to save up all the selvedges.  About 90% of the selvedges on this quilt are from my own stash.

There was a lot of inspiration from various selvedge blogs.  there are people who have re-covered chairs, made lampshades, dresses, and other things all out of selvedges.  I like that nothing gets thrown away.  I still have a half a bag of selvedges that i should do something with it...and I have a chair that needs re-covering too...hhmmmmm

 I've been stockpiling selvedges through some very generous Craftsters (funthreads you rock!) but still don't have quite enough for a quilt....Mare you know I'll come down and pick up your selvedges if you save some for me

Very cool.  I have started saving selvedges, too, but I suspect I'll never have enough to accomplish what you have done.

you'd be suprized at how quick selvedges start stacking up as you flesh out your stash or go through your stash to see what selvedges you have

A tip to anyone when making things with selvedges, I left myself a 5/8 to a 1 inch margin of error when cutting to retrieve and stash my selvedges, so I would have extra insurance to work with
