Alas, I still can't work on my piece for this swap yet. My OTT item is taking longer than I thought it would.Tongue On the bright side, I already know what I'm going to make and have cut out some of the materials. So when I do get started, the work should go fast.Smiley

I found these 4x5 plastic picture protectors and I want to fill them up with YOUR art. Let's swap.

Gosh, I feel like such a procrastinator. The combination of Spring break and Senior-itis is making me lazy. Hopefully if I get to painting today though, maybe even outside since it's so beautiful out here Smiley

I've read that you can actually felt with that acrylic stuff. Give it a try sometime, see if it works for you Smiley. You could use a sheet of it and some cut out shapes or even unravel some yarn for fluff.

I got into the studio for a minute today and tried out one of my ideas, have the base finished and now am thinking of embellishing with embroidery thread and seed beads. I'm not sure I like it though... it's very colourful, which I adore, and it's also slightly odd, which I of course love, but it's a bit... um... a bit what-is-it-ish. Know what I mean? Like somebody's going to get this thing and be like "Ooh, colour! Ooh, shiny beads! Ooh, teeny stitchery!.... What's it supposed to BE though?" LOLOLOLOL, is that OK? Sometimes I have a problem making things that just don't have any purpose. I mean, maybe it can be incorporated into some other project or something. Or do people want useless stuff that just sits there looking strangely creative?

(I could be asking this of myself since I'll also be a recipient, ha ha. My answer is yes, I'm going to enjoy whatever comes in the mail to me so I guess the answer to my musing is "it's all OK".)

It's a peice of art, does it need to "be" something?
