I took a short stroll through Somerset and ClothPaperScissors land and now I have a fun idea with a new technique - love craft videos on YouTube.

As far as using a DC# on packages, I use them on small bubble envelopes frequently. In the Altered Puzzle Piece swap, JillHogan (organizer and swapper) sends her pieces in a small bubble envelope with a few crumpled pieces of newspaper. I send mine taped to a greeting card or small piece of cardboard. I have never had the PO question my method - I just say I need confirmation on this package. Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

DC can only be used on "packages"... so it would have to be at least a bubble mailer rather than a regular envelope, and I seem to recall my po getting picky about width in terms of whether they could count it as a package or not.

There is a minimum thickness for use of DC on first-class envelopes/flats. You can solve this by sticking a single packing peanut in the envelope if it is too thin.  Otherwise they require that you send priority to use DC, which costs considerably more.

So excited about this swap! I love the freedom of it, and not having to worry about sending "extras."  Can't wait to get started!

I don't know why I am taking so long to sign up for this swap! Leaving it to the last day...ooopps! But i will send my info in soon!

Does anyone know if these will fit into standard envelopes? I suppose I should check the NZ post website though! haha. I am glad this is such a nice flat swap, international post will just be a few dollars!

I'm gonna go with a bubble mailer for mine, the thought of trusting it to arrive safely inside a standard envelope is giving me heart palpitations Cheesy I've had way too many things mangled in the mail, I'd rather pay extra than bite my nails with worry the whole time it's travelling.

I sandwich flat stuff between pieces of cardboard anyhow, that and a bubble envelop makes for a parcel and a safe arrival with no mangling Wink.
