Would anybody be interested in doing a star wars swap? I think it would be pretty awesome and there is sooo much you could do.

Depending on when it was held, I might not be able to do it.  However it sounds like an awesome idea to me.

There's been a few in the past. I've only been able to participate in the OTT version, though. We're watching the original movies today and I can't help but think that my husband would love some Star Wars goodies, so I'd be up for it should one start.

I would be in! I've been thinking about this for a while and hoping someone would bring it up (because I'm not really supposed to be swapping too much right now, if my SO was to have his way...)

Depending on how many points it was, I would probably sign up for this!

I wouldn't mind organizing if no one else is interested in doing it. I'm not sure I'll actually be able to swap, depends on when everyone wants it, but I can always organize. Smiley

I can do it whenever anyone else wants.  I am saving a "swap spot" specifically for this swap.  Smiley

I don't really care how many points it is, either.  I would be perfectly content with anything a partner made Smiley

As long as send-outs are after mid-May then I am down.  Any earlier then that and i'll have to pass because of finals.  Either way, I can't wait to see what wonders come out of this swap!!!!

I agree with mid-May.  I have a Disney-cruise-wedding to attend the first week of May.  Maybe start sign ups soon so that people can get partners and start the stalking and planning?

How does 3/16-3/30 signups with 5/14 sendouts and 5 points sound?

Sounds perfect to me, as long as the 5 points can be divvied among multiple items.  I am not-so-good with "large" items, but can definitely do multiple small/mediums

*Squee*  It's gonna happen!

Think I might jump on this.  I used to be seriously into Star Wars, but my obsession has fizzled lately (mysteriously coincided with Episodes I, II, and III).  Sad  I think this swap is just what I need to reignite it!

LOL!  I know what you mean.  We have a "multi-generational" family of fans here.  Myself: I have seen all Episodes in theater, first time around.  DH who saw Episodes 1,2, and 3 in theater, but 4,5 and 6 only on video (yes, there is an age difference between us.  What can I say?  I robbed the cradle Smiley ) and my kids who have only seen Phantom Menace (3D) in theater, but have seen them all on DVD.

The battles over "which are best" can be pretty epic in our house.

Do you think that things "outside" the movies will be allowed- clone wars cartoons, books-as-canon, the radio show, the Christmas show, etc? I hope so.  There is so much possibility to work with...

I think things outside the movies should totally be allowed. SW The Old Republic is basically my life at the moment <3

Haven't jumped into that one, yet.  DH is afraid he will become addicted, and the extra money for it is just not in budget at the moment.

Lego Star Wars is really awesome, as well.  Lego has movies, etc all devoted to the SW characters.  My 6 year old jumped on the SW fan-boy bandwagon via Lego.

Dewshinesdopp, we are in the same boat! I saw the original in the theaters. I only distinctly remember Return of the Jedi though. I was so scared for Luke at the beginning cas I thought the gamorrean guard was going to hurt him! Ha! But the hubster (yes MUCH younger) never saw any of them. He wasn't into SW. When we got together I had to show his son them and he is in love with 1,2, & 3. The husband got into Clone Wars after recording a bunch. So we have all three version in my house.
I will be moving at the end of April so I am not sure if I can do the swap... I really want to but I want to make sure I can put enough time into it. I am going to have to wait and see. Undecided  I will def keep an eye on the gallery if I can't join.
