hi, my name is kate, and i like to create, hence k8kre8s. i live in vancouver, BC and relish all the rainy winter days i get to spend inside crafting. my colour preferences depend on the object, but in general i like olive/avocado green, eggplant or dusty purple, charcoal grey, sage green, turquoise, brown and light blue together, some pinks and off-white. for clothes i generally wear a small-medium, and i have size 7 feet. pm me for more specific measurements. i like birds, bicycles, mid-century modern furniture, leaves & trees, succulents, cacti, nests, crystals, old doilies, canning jars, and moss. please feel free to message me and ask questions. my wist and etsy favorites are good places to research my likes.

wish list
crafts:
a beaded rose quartz necklace similar to this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/91302956/rock-the-rock-necklace-rose-quartz-and
an organza flower on a bobby pin like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/18276497/petals-bobby-pin-large-unique
a pair of arm warmers made from old sweaters (as long as they aren’t itchy wool) in charcoal grey, light blue, olive green, eggplant purple, or cream, like these:
http://www.etsy.com/shop/clfbyclairelafaye
grey, black, or dark purple tea towel with embroidery on it. a simple design in white of a bird or teapot or eames chair or something like that is fine.
knit legwarmers in light or charcoal grey, olive green, eggplant purple, white/cream. simple style is fine, but i’d love them to be on the longer side so i can scrunch them down.
a bowl, plate, slab, cutting board, or slice of beautiful wood. thin slices of birch for coasters, something bigger for a hotplate, i basically just really like woodgrain.
a short ruffle wrap skirt similar to this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/79917031/ruffle-steam-skirt-with-leather-applique
a bulky rib knit neckwarmer with buttons like this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/93650837/white-bulky-knit-buttoned-neckwarmer
a beautiful, evocative photo of a horse.
a knit bolero/circular shrug
http://kellymaher.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/ribbed-lace-bolero/
scale model:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45597.0
a crocheted shrug
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=35101.0
a bow sleeved tee made from a long sleeved shirt. size small/med
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=376487.0
felted sweater slip-on slippers. these are for guests to my cold-floored house, so maybe a larger or average men’s size would be good.
some kind of funky apron (full sized). ruffles, 50’s style, something colourful and/or funky.
supplies:
- cotton quilting fabric in prints like the ones on my wist
- linen in pieces bigger than about 5x7” (esp. charcoal grey)
- gemstone/crystal beads (chips, rounds, whatever)
- art clay silver, even if it’s dried out
- leather scraps
- ornate or fancy silverware/cutlery
- spinning fibre, wool roving, silk, alpaca, whatever
- old thin silk scarves (rips/falling apart is fine) for spinning
- solid coloured jersey fabric (not rib-knit) >1 meter
- old doilies
thanks for picking me!

Hi!! I’m Melanie from Ontario. I’m a SAHM to 4 boys and 1 baby girl. I love blues and purples and dark reds. I love to crochet. I love the look of knitting too, but I just can’t do it. I admire all types of crafts and try to do most of them. I wish I could sew, I’ve started but very basic. I am a crafty hoarder, lol. I love to make stuff for my kids. Quenton is my oldest, 15 and not interested in craftiness really, but I try. Liam and Aidan love anything video game related, especially Mario, Luigi, Zelda, Sonic and Pokemon. Ethan lately is into rescue Heroes, real life ones, police, firemen, ambulance workers, doctors…….and Daysie is a 9 month old little princess, that is until she can tell me she doesn’t wanna wear dresses!! Lol, and I’m sure its coming soon, shes already passed over dollies for dinky cars a few times! Strong smells give me headaches, like perfumy or cigarette smoke, but I do like the smell of vanilla, cinnamon, lavender. Hmmmm….what else?? I like cute skully things, sugar skulls, hearts, argyle, paisley, toile, big flowery prints, funky geometric prints.
I’ve lived in Canada all my life and theres no other place where I would rather raise my kids! Proud Canadian here!!
OK, wishes….

Howdy! My name is Susi, but I am suereal . I live near Chilliwack BC. I like OneOfAKind stuff. I like my dog Cosmo, monsters, glow in the dark, eyes, They Might Be Giants, clouds, and deep sea critters. I like most greens and blues (not fond of kelly green or navy blue), oranges and browns, black and purple. I don't like white, pink or red. I do not like girly, but I do like cute. I like geometric patterns mostly. I like polka dots, but not a regular repeat. I like them randomly scatered around, or the circles are not quite perfect. And the same with squares...I don't like plads, but they can be cool if the lines are wavey. I don't like the word "perfect" in most cases. I like things scrapy and junky, cute and creepy, and "unique" is one of my favo words. If I have something on my wist, it's becasue I like the idea of it, not the exact thing. I dislike strong smells, but love lemon and some earthy smells
I'm American by birth, but Canadian by nature. I was lucky enough to fall in love with a Canadian, so I get to live here now. And I love it even more now that we have left the big city behind and I can see the clouds again. The mountains here make for incredible views. The clouds like to lay across the mountains like sleeping dragons
My wist is here:
http://www.wists.com/suereal
web page and GLOB here:
http://www.suereal.ca/index.html
My list
1. Fox Scarf--In some soft fabric (polar fleece, sweat shirting), not knitted. Orange or blue please. Like this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=247454;sa=showTopics
2.
Knit or crocheted cotton wash clothes
Thanks Homerof2
3. Decorated T Shirts--Large or XL men's size. I will wear XL women's style some times, if they are long enough (and the longer the better). The decoration can be any of my themes and any technique. I just want more OOAK t-shirts
4. Small stuffies in my themes--Around 5 or 6 inches is great.
5. Medium stuffie monsters--Any style monster is great. By medium I mean around a foot or 2. Nothing HUGE please.
6. Largish fabric boxes/bins/baskets. I think I would like a wee handle on each side. Funky fabrics (poodle fabric would be killer) or make them into monsters, or TV's would be cute!
7. A 1/2 apron with pockets--Not the bib style. And not a tie on one either. I use my shirt to gather things into to carry from room to room. So I think an adjustable clip and lock style closer would be best, as sometimes things are heavy. Think more like a men's tool belt then a kitchen apron.
8. Slippers--my feet are women's size 10 wide. In cotton or bamboo yarn, or fabric. I think I would use them more if I could just slip them on, rather then have to sit down and slide my foot in with both hands. I think they are called scuffs? I have seen a Japanese style one before where they used a braided and coiled length of fabric as the sole. I think I would like that better then yarn
9. XL Men's T shirts for the Hub--He likes skulls mostly, but anything manly will do. It can be funny, but most men's mainstream tshirts are not funny, just tacky. Think alternative
10. Art based on my dog, Cosmo--figures, paintings, wall quilts, anything. Lots of pics of him at my web site,http://www.sureal.ca.
11. A hanging organizer with pockets--like a shoe organizer...But cooler looking. Might be hung in the bathroom or in my craft room, depending on the size
12. A braided denim or polar fleece mat/rug for the front door. If it were recycled jeans that would be even better. This one is most likely a large
13. Mug rugs...or larger. I use them under bowls of soup rather than a small plate. 6, 7, 8 inches square maybe? They will be used, so they should be sturdy enough to be thrown in the wash.
14. A roll of not-paper towels--Here's a wee tut--
http://cottontailbabies.org/2011/01/unpaper-towel-tutorial/
15. Reusable monthly pads. Like these http://www.sckoon.com/clothmenstrualpads.html 100% cotton please.
16. Smallish spice racks that have been decorated. I finally have a place I can keep paints out to see them, so the shelf needs to be tall and wide enough to fit acrylic craft paint bottles. I have 3 shelves so far, I will need maybe 5 more.
17. Surprise me. Something from my wist, or profile, or something you are just sure I need from stalking me
18. Funky pillow cases. Standard size, long body pillow or a special size for a buckwheat husk pillow I use. PM me for measurements if you want to do the last 2.
19. Knit or crocheted long fingerless gloves in cotton or bamboo. I have a lovely pair of wool ones, but I want some not that warm ones for in the house. If you choose this, PM me for measurements.
20. A baseball style brimmed hat in a steampunkish/apocalypse style. I like the close fitting type of b-ball hat, not the box type. I never leave the house with out my baseball hat. It would be nice to have a crafty one. Darker colors preferred.
Supplies and tools list
1. Peg eyes--I love them and can never have enough. I am especially looking for large (quarter sized-ish and up) ones. Extra points for clear ones (I can paint them colors then). Taxidermy eyes are also acceptable. I have way too many googly eyes though, so I only want those if they sew on or are glow in the dark
2. Glow in the dark powder--You can mix it into any base (glue, paint, etc.) and make your own glow in the dark stuff.
3. Road kill bottle caps--by this I mean bottle caps that have been squished by cars. Sometimes they are completely flat, sometimes they are just a bit squished, but I love them all equally. Please wash them before mailing. I would also be happy with hand squished ones if anyone wants to smack normal ones up a bit. I have plenty of unsquished ones though.
4. Fake fur--Anything really. Vintage stuff is nice, because it is better made then a lot of the stuff you can find now. All colors accepted
5. LED's--They can be scavenged from toys and such. Blue, green, clear, and orange preferred over red. Space ships (a flat type of LED) and rotation flashers get extra points
6. Bits and Bobs--Those wee kind of things that fall to the back of desk drawers and such. A little bit of filligree that fell off of a necklace, a wee light bulb too small to light anything, stamps, tokens, watch parts etc.. Anything odd and small
7. Colored wire in any gage, and most colors
8. A pair of clippers/cutter that cuts up and down not sideways--So I mean they cut like teeth work. The pairs I have all cut like scissors. Looks like this, but I want a jewlery sized one..
http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch-heavy-duty-end-nipper-38496.html
9. A hand jeweler drill. The kind you hold on to the shaft and push it up and down to drill the hole. Like this one
http://www.contenti.com/products/drills/200-705.html
10. Large grommets. Anything larger then the size that most grommets are. I prefer silver finish to gold, but gold would still be better than nothing. Extra points if you can find colored ones. I don't need the application tool, but feel free to send it along if it is easy
11. I really, really want one of those Japanese food cutting tools that makes vegetables into long strings so you can eat them like noodles.
Like this: http://www.dawkshops.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=131 Another style would be fine, and I don't expect anyone to buy this, but maybe someone has one they aren't interested in.
12. Permanent acid-free felt pens. I use all kinds, but I am looking for the acid-free ones mostly.
13. Smallish tins with hinged lids. I'm thinking larger than Altoids, I have a ton of those.
14. Glue sticks for glue guns. I have 2 guns, so either the ones about the size of your pinky or the tiny ones that are oval shaped (low heat) are great. I just want the clear ones please. My newest craft can use as many as six sticks at a time
15. Surprise me. I often don't know I need something until I own it.
16. Martha Stewart craft paint. I love this paint!
17. Wool roving (I almost forgot that part )
Extras
Chocolate
Candy (I love Lemon Heads most of all, but sour is a good thing to me.)

I might as well make it 3 for 3 since I'm on a roll with washcloths
I'll claim suereal for crocheted cotton washcloths
3/0/0
I'm Cindy and I live in the small city of Lacombe, Alberta. I work part-time in a walk-in doctors office, which I enjoy very much but I like my off days even more. My favorite crafts at the moment are embroidery and crochet and during my slow time at work I make wash cloths which have made my picks for this round very easy.
I like bright colors, especially lime green and hot pink, I can't stand baby blue or mint green but I also like darker purple, green and blue. I enjoy spending time with my hubby and two older sons. I was raised in the NWT and then moved to Alberta where I've lived for 28 years. Canada is the only country I want to live in - I'll gladly visit others but it's good to set my feet back on Canadian soil. I'm proud to be Canadian!
Here is my wishlist, with links where possible. If it says 'similar to this' then please use that for inspiration but if it says 'like this' then I'm looking for a duplicate of that item.

I love to sew, crochet, knit and anything new that I can get my hands on. For colours and patterns I am pretty easy going, I love damask patterns and polka dots, cupcakes and fun things like that. My favorite colours are teal, turquoise, brown, dark purple. I am not picky when it comes to colour just not as big a fan of reds, yellows and oranges. I am not allergic to any thing and I have two very curious cats at my house. I haven’t mentioned something on my list and it is on my pintrest I would still like it
