I absolutely love that bag. It's so 70's looking. It's lovely!

Wow. I love it - especially how you had the handles coming from the sides, not the top - very original. And I don't think it's boring at all - the colors will go with everything!

....will you be posting a tutorial? it sounds like it was a bit of a fly-by-your-seat experiment! Smiley

Very neat overall pattern.  The straps look like they may be uncomfortable though, espesh if you had to carry around something heavy.  Which, maybe  sounds unlikely in a bag that size, buuuuuuuuut I often find myself carrying more than I thought I would bem so who knows.  Also, I really like the merit badge idea, for the sake of color.  It would be great with some sort of nice, simple applique or patch on the front, just to add a little pizzaaaazzzz.  Sweet bag.

I think it is AWESOME and not boring at all.  The simplicity of the fabric highlights the fabric's texture and your graceful pattern lines.  Way to go!

Not commercial--I would say sophisticated, tailored professional. If you must add something, which I wouldn't, you could go with a embroidered sheild, family crest kind of thing.

Oooh, graceful lines...and a delicious combination of textures.  Congrats on a successful homemade pattern.

Wow thanks! I never expected so many posts!!!  I could take a pic of the inside, but it's kinda pointless because all it is inside is blue canvas (the same blue that is used for connecting rope handles).  There is a small patch pocket inside too.  I used 100 percent silk suiting material for the outside fabric.

I want to post a tutorial for ya guys, but I kinda drafted this pattern so I could make more bags and sell them.... and i guess if I posted a tutorial, it might defeat the purpose of trying to sell others if everyone can just make it themselves... hmmm... at the same time I feel bad and want to share how to make this bag.
