I made this the other day.  I found an old school desk at Savers for 7$ and decided to cover it in newspaper.  I just cut strips of newspaper and used Mod Podge to apply it.  I also added glitter because i felt like it so there.  full pics on my blog.

Is that a new desk or a news desk? Just the thing for a budding reporter!

OMG that's too wild!

On a related note, I believe the bathroom in our 1941-built house was remodeled once. that being said, you should have seen the lid of the toilet tank! It had actually been tiled once with the same plastic tile we have in the bathroom, and then covered in black and white wallpaper that makes me think of a Raphaelian toile design, if there is even such a thing. It's wildly ugly so I decided to have at it.

Why am I posting this info here? Because I took some pieces of an Asian print newspaper and mod podged my toilet tank lid like you did your table! Smiley I'm almost done with it and will have to post the after photos. The before photos were too ugly to share.

Good job on your table!

thanks! i like the idea of using a newspaper with a different language.  That might be something i look into.  I love the look of the middle eastern writting so that might be nice.
