What's the secret to making such great looking t-shirt yarn Kayrun? I haven't tried my hand at making t-shirt yarn yet because I'm worried at how it'll turn out. It seems like it would be fun to knit with.

I GOT THE GOODS!
I received from the lovely Zombie_Queen today. I swear we were a match made in heaven! Her package was so me and fabulous.
So, after a brief trip to the PO, a brief bought of my brain falling out and many peanut butter truffles later....here are the pictures.

Something funny:
The lovable "Horace Behr" by mr fox, one of my coveted crochet icons. I am THE worst @ hookin', so things like this are magic to me.

Sender's Choice and "T":
A woodsy mug and Two Teas! English Breakfast and Irish Breakfast, both of which I love.

Something Local:
Two balls of sock yarn from her LYS. I am obsessed with sock yarn these days...it's a bit scary. Yet I never buy solid colors. Why? These are lovely.

Something Green:
GORGEY handpsun. My favorite colors, weight, fiber and oh so smoodgy!
"Fresh Mint" 226 yards. HobbledeHoy roving-Blue Faced Leicester wool, latte silk, tussah silk, bamboo, and sparkle

Something  Round:
MYB! Can I just say that I LOVE how many of these I have seen in this swap? I adore mybs and want any and every excuse to give and received them. This was amazing. Hand dyed Manos del Uruguay silk blend that was dyed by Z_Qs friend MizzKodak's Trunk wrapped around Doctor Who themed items as well as yarn and spinning goodies. If there had been chocolate or David Tennant inside it would have been the ULTIMATE myb.

(all of these will be perfect for handspun mini skeins for the beekeeper's quilt!!!)

And finally....Something Hard:

Hard to RESIST maybe. om nom nom. Crunch peanut butter truffles (how did you know peanut butter and chocolate were my favorite?)

Thank you Zombie_Queen! You were an excellent partner! I hope you enjoy my package when you get it!

step 1:  go to LYS
step 2:  pick out the color t-shirt yarn you like
step 3:  mail to your partner

 Grin
LOL
have not gotten the nerve to try making it myself, either!

Ah, it's super easy to get distracted by all the other awesome items in the swap packages...but dang, I'm totally drooling over all the squishy yarns! Cheesy

And looky here!  I received from my awesome partner, MareMare Grin  After a 10 hour not-so-fun day at work, it was wonderful to come home to a box of yarnie goodies Cheesy  Yep, a bunch of goodies!

Something green  ->  squishy green yarn!  So pretty!  I'll have to save it for a special project Smiley

Something tiny  ->  a small, forlorn panda who looks like it was sad to leave Mare's nephews Sad  Gah, he's even waving to let them know he has arrived at his new home.  No worries, I'll take good care of him!

Something local  ->  choccies!!  Dark and milk...from Candy Basket!  Nom, nom, nom.

Something funny  ->  perfectly nerdy and hilarious!  I'm bringing this with me to the office tomorrow Cheesy

Something hard  ->  card case that'll be perfect for my business cards Cheesy

Something round  ->  a fabulous crocheted cowl Shocked  The colours are even more dashing in real life.  I adore it!

Sender's choice  ->  a book about collage!  I can't wait to check it!! Cheesy

And a bonus!  There is no '8th' category in this scavenger hunt, but she thoughtfully included some sock yarn for me to play with Cheesy

Thanks Mare! Kiss  You're a terrific swap partner...and it amazes me that we have such similar tastes for chocolate and yarns Wink

I'm sorry you had a long day at work but glad the swap package made it better! Just so you know, we now have matching pincushions/Bitch pillows. The first one I made messed up on the very last part but was determined that you would have one!

Just so you know, we now have matching pincushions/Bitch pillows.

That makes me happy Cheesy  I love my 'Bit*h' pillow...as do my colleagues (and I'm trying not to overanalyze why they do Roll Eyes).  Thanks again Mare for making my day Smiley
