You’ve gone through a lot with your party members in Dragon Age (Origins/Awakening and Dragon Age II if you choose). Three of these party members want to give you gifts just because!

Please choose three adventuring party members you would like to receive gifts from.
-   Adventuring companion 1 will send you a medium gift (between 2 to 3 hours crafting time)
-   Adventuring companion 2 will sent you a small gift (under two hours crafting time)
-   Adventuring companion 3 will send you a small gift (under two hours crafting time)

I really want to do a DA swap, but I don't think I know enough about the game to be able to participate.  I haven't played Origins and I've only just finished the deep roads in DA2.  I don't know a whole lot about the plot/other characters.  I love the art in it and think it would generally make a great themed swap.  Anyone else in the same boat?

Oh no! You're dreaming of a Dragon Age swap to come along and suddenly one arrives... in an overly specific format   That would be frustrating. I haven't played through every part of each game with every companion possible (one day, one day) so I found this to be really helpful

Just to give you an overview of any plot or characters you're not familiar with, though it may ruin some surprises if you were hoping to discover everything in game. When I looked through the companion list I thought "Shale? Who in the world is Shale!?" but then I read Shales background and gifts it (golem hence the "it") likes to receive itself and that helps come up with ideas for what kind of gifts it might give someone else. You could just fill in the questionnaire to the best of your abilities and in the "Is there anything else you want your partner to know?" section fill in which characters you are familiar with and would feel comfortable crafting for. You won't be left out if you join in and that's a guarantee from me. Crafting fun for everyone  

And yeah I know, the art in the game is very fantastic

I was thinking more if anyone is in the same situation as me, maybe we could just swap art-inspired or game-inspired crafts. I'm getting Origins sent to me soon but I'd rather learn about stuff in game. I'm picky, I know. If anyone is down with that, I'd be delighted! If not, I'll enjoy seeing what you guys come up with!

Okay I personally haven't played through the whole game but I got through at least half. I have watched my other half play through everything, though. And I am absolutely in love with Alistair. Heh heh. I'm gonna sign up.

That is a brilliant name for a dog! Surely your boyfriend won't mind about you breaking your promise about swaps just this once: I mean, it's for a swap about a computer game, how many guys could object to that?

Is anyone else having trouble deciding which companions they want gifts from?  I just can't pick!  What if I give a bunch of options (a person and what they might give me) and my partner can pick the ones they like best?
