I'm so glad you liked the stuff, cackle. It was fun doing our challenge, and I liked trying to incorporate the things you sent.

jillybeans, I first sanded the tin, and then soaked it in a solution of 2 parts bleach to 1 part vinegar, in a disposable plastic container. Outside! It's stinky. I then coated it with a few coats of Mod Podge to (hopefully) keep the rust from flaking off. This was my first time rusting things, but definitely not my last.

But wait, look at the awesome stuff I got from cackle in return! Here's how she illustrated "It was here where she kept her stories".

First off, the matchbox. With a little key to help lock my stories away.

The lovely side:

And then, because she didn't like the matchbox enough (silly girl!), she sent me this minature bonus tin. I love those little tins, and this one is extra nice, because it's got a flying pig! This turquoise is going to look great in my craft room:

And the piece de resistance! Yes, this is where I keep my stories: under a creepy clown head!! You have no idea how much I love this tin. When we sent supplies, I sent along a couple of vintage clown cupcake picks, and look what happened to one of my clowny friends!

Of course I opened the little box, and I'm not saying what's inside.

OK, I'll tell you...it contains three tiny dice.  Cheesy

The back, which contains our quote about the stories (sorry it's a bit out of focus):

Thanks so much, cackle! I really love my little works of art!
