hey, was looking at this hat here, I like the Xed detail in the middle and would like to know hot to do just that... so if anyone knows, i'd appreciate it if you shared the knowledge Smiley

Did you try asking the designer if it was her stitch creation or if not the name of the stitch?

It looks like the hat is made working sideways (rather than in the round) and uses crochet cables to make the part you're looking at.

For the exact pattern, the best bet is to get it from the designer.
