Hey this is my first time using colour change- I did not use a pattern, I made my own up, but I used this tutorial:

It doesn't look super neat, but is that just the nature of changing colours like this?  Does anyone have any feedback or tips?

It's hard to see the detail of the darker colour, but judging from the white, it looks right to me!

The trick to a clean colour change is to do the final "yarn over and pull through" of the previous stitch in the new colour, as this loop becomes the top of the next stitch.

Looks good to me also. The only color changes that have straight lines is the afghan stitch.
