I just found the pics I took at the post office before mailing to hgddm... never thought to check my phone lol. Still hope she's able to post better pics, but here's what I got:

The hat with 3 broaches pinned to it (2 are made of felt & fabric flowers & leaves I found at a paper crafting shop... the other I made with left-over lining fabric. It matches the inside).

We had agreed to swap ONLY the hat, but I was at the local bead shop and they had these broach kits on clearance. I bought a couple of them, intending to make one to go with her hat, but decided to just send it to her instead. And then... I was thinking I could make a multi-purpose beaded hatband / necklace so she can use it either way she wanted. Especially since I wasn't sure the hat would fit right... plus, I saw one ON CLEARANCE at a local store for $17... and I was just dying to make one. It's crocheted string with 3 beads every 15 stitches.

The pic of the hat is a little funky because while the brim fits correctly when it's on: it causes the rest of the hat to buckle when it lies flat. This was the best I could get.

Here are some more pictures of the wonderful hat Eclectic Dreamer made for me:

You can see the gorgeous brooches and satiny lining fabric that she used. It's so slouchy and wonderful! Makes me wish I had a big afro like a young Michael Jackson afro.

And here is the wonderful abalone button brooch kit she sent and the lovely beaded hatband/necklace:

Thank you, thank you, and thanks for being patient with me and the photos Smiley What a great swap!
