I know I've been MIA, but with a move in process, some health issues, and just an overall feeling of blah, I haven't been in the mood to craft.  but about 2 weeks ago, my cousin asked me if I could make her a sugar skull-type of bracelet.  I had an idea in mind using lampwork sugar skull beads, but 3 problems arose; I couldn't find the beads now that I needed to buy them, when I did find the beads they were already part of jewelry pieces and I didn't want to spend $30+ to take something apart, and the more I looked at the beads the less I really liked them (I'm not a huge fan of lampwork beads).  so upon looking around for ideas, I stumbled across this simple, GORGEOUS design and had to copy it for my cousin (and myself Grin).  here's the finished product:

the turquoise/red one is mine, and the colorful one is my cousin's.  I am VERY happy with how these turned out.  I still have a turquoise skull in the pack I bought, so I'll be making another one for myself.  just need to get another red rose.  and some more round turquoise beads.  or maybe I have some I can use on hand.  guess I'll have to wait to find out once we unpack...in April...

whatcha' think?

EDIT:  I totally forgot to link my matching earrings when I made them in September!!!  go check them out!  and now there's a necklace to go with it!

Not really my style because it's big and Do'tD, but I do find these extremely aesthetically pleasing. Good job.

thank you everyone!

when I bought the pack of skulls, it came with 7 colors, and I figured I could make something with the remaining 5.  I already have an idea for the orange skull.  Grin  I can't wait to wear this when summer comes around.  that's another bad thing about winter; you can't really show off bracelets.  Sad  but that will change soon, but not soon enough.  Tongue

Thanks to the wonderful Krafty_Karasu I was inspired to make these for me and my sis.  My sis gets first choice so I don't know which is mine yet. Smiley  The small beads are turquoise and red coral.  Smiley

Thanks so much for sharing KK!
