Hubby works at a cafe, and has started bringing the empty cartridges home, 'coz they look cool and you could do something with them'  i thought about pendants, but I was wondering if you crafty folk had other ideas.

Here is a pic of what they look like

thanks Smiley

They look like mini missiles that you could strap on to a holster for a costume. Or ammo for a machine gun for a zombie apocalypse kinda thing.

I was about to answer the same but they look like bullet cases to me. I've got about 30 boxes of these things (they're full) that I can't find the large canister for.
Mini bottles?

Use them in a wind chime or mobile - do they make a tinkly sound when they bump each other?  I immediately thought of something that hangs and catches the light - maybe add some glass (plexiglass?) strips for color.

As pendants they might be little vases for small flowers - or make a robot with them, using another object (ball or box) for a head.  Drill holes to use wire to "connect" the arms, legs, a couple of them side by side for a torso.  The cartridges look kinda like space stuff or robot stuff to me.  Way cool!!   Cool

I was thinking legs for small boxes or handles or drawer pulls maybe?  You would just need to find screws/bolts that would fit the end.  They fact they are not threaded can be curred by putting some self hardening putty in the neck of the tube before screwing it on

Thanks for your suggestions, sounds like all you guys are on the same page.  the vase/planer idea is cool, but the hole is not very big so I don't know how I would go with that.

Love the wind chime idea, they do make a lovely sound when they knock together.
Robot sounds  great too, might have to have a play around.

Its so good how people think totally different things when looking at the same object.

Now to dig out the other obscure stuff i don't know what to use for Smiley
