ogd, swear words aren't my thing but I love the lettering you used and would like to know how the letters are attached to the fabric.

I received from fiddlegirl8 today, a whole day earlier than she anticipated! My jaw just about hit the ground when I opened the package. I was really blown away by her work. Not just the choice of fabrics or subject matter, but the QUALITY. Her enclosed note (with a map of her home state, Kansas! How cool!!) said her favorite craft was quilting, and I can *definitely* tell. I know the crafting community is pretty supportive and positive, but I don't GUSH without genuinely meaning it. And this? Gush-worthy. Seriously. See for yourselves.

How adorable is this pillow?! She told me the block is called "Dutchman's puzzle". DAMN she's a great quilter!

Another view so you can get a better look at the fabric she chose. So me!

Not to freak her out or anything, but one of the things I noticed right away was how perfect her stitching on the binded-edge envelope flap. I've never been able to get my binding that perfectly stitched. Damn, fiddlegirl8, you are GOOD!!

Not just husky approved, DOUBLE husky approved! That's when you know it's truly amazing.

Both HSG and fiddlegirl8 have exploded my brain and made this officially the most awesome swap ever. I only hope they'll enjoy the pillow covers I sent them half as much as I love theirs! Thank you, you guys. Really. This has been the worst couple of years ever, and having beautiful hand-made pillows I will look at every day make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thank you more than you will ever know. Smiley

the lettering is just my handwriting... I wrote the word, and kept blowing it up on my printer til it got to the size I wanted it....Then I used wonderunder, traced the word, ironed it to the fabric, cut it out and sewed it on.

Beeclef - I am so very pleased that you like the cover I made you.  Your words are so kind - THANK YOU!  Now, YOU have made MY day!!  As for the quilting - I am fortunate to have had several older, more experienced quilters show me how to do many things, like binding.  My biggest asset (in my opinion) is I am OCD - it's terrible sometimes, for example, when I think that even tote bags have to be perfectly stitched - it's a tote bag for crying out loud!  But the OCD has served me well in sewing and quilting.  I'm glad you like it so much!

And now, you will have these two bright spots to remind you daily that other people (that you haven't even met in person!) do care.  We Craftsters have to stick together, after all!   Smiley

WOW...the ruffled crochet pillow is simply classic and the colors are timeless!  I know where Lime lives... Wink

ha ha I have a few people that would love the naughty word pillow!  What a clever idea!  The ruffle makes it sweet...

The sugar skull in space is so creative!!  I love seeing your collection of artsy pillows--fabulous thing to collect...and sequins and sparkle...how great!

Beeclef--it is like you custom ordered your pillows to match what you already had...your partners nailed it!  I love that you got two totally different styles and yet they just make that bed husky approved!

Just a note to our ever-so-good organizers.  I had a blast with this swap (and yes, I know, it isn't even OVER yet!), but I wanted to thank you LimeRiot and pjherbert for leading us into the land of Cushion Covers.  What a nice variety, and loads of talent in this swap - I am challenged to try some new ways of embellishing covers in the future.  With the great success of this swap, do you think you two want to have another round of this - YOU BOTH DO/DID SUCH A GREAT JOB, how can you tell us, "No"  !??

Thanks again - and thanks to my partners for swapping with me!!

I love Craftster!    Kiss xoxox  Smiley
