Hi there! I've recently become increasingly interested in the craft of weaving. So I was wondering, when weaving on a loom can you make weavings in different shapes, or is it just the "rectangle". Or if you want to weave different shapes, is that done on a shaped loom of some sort?

Appreciate anyone's help!

Well, I know they have Triangle looms in all sizes, but I don't know how they work, but there are books about it and I have seen some pictures of some nice shawls woven on them.  And of course, if you weave a fabric, you can cut it to make clothing and such.

I've seen someone make a frame loom out of a hula hoop. It was at a weavers guild. They wrapped the weft around the hoop in an over under manner so that it looked like the hoop had spokes if that makes sense.

I meant warp not weft... I think.
