I had been thinking of this for a while.  I love little poems, especially haikus, and was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a swap where:

1.  you come up with a poem (or provide a copy of a poem if you have a favourite published one)
2.  come up a crafted item representing/inspired by the poem - in any medium

Anyone interested?

Some ideas:

A hoopla illustrating the theme
mixed media wall art
a bracelet with the poem decoupaged on
an embroidered pillow
an etched, carved, or burned box, etc

I love the idea.  Would you send the poem to your partner and them craft on it, and they send one to you that they like for return I guess?

Might be good to say short poem or verse from a poem, like anything not more than say 8 lines long or something.

How long is a sonnet, maybe 12?

That is a cute idea too - what I was thinking was that Person A and B swap with each other - Person A writes the poem and crafts the item to go with it, and sends to person B, and person B comes up with their own poem and crafts the item to go with it and sends that to person A.

But your idea is intriguing too - more of a challenge!

I think I'd prefer to have someone craft something, geared toward a poem of my choosing, rather than them, choosing one for me.

I'd be in for this! I have a poem that I'm obsessed with and would love something crafted about it.
