My 13 year old daughter was entering a Variety show at school and volunteered me to make costumes for her and her two friends. From the time we found out she'd be in it to the time of the show I had three weeks.

My daughter designed the outfits and I sewed. There is a layer of tulle between the top of the skirt and the lining to add body. I used my narrow hem sewing foot for the first time and boy was I glad. It made it so much quicker.

I created corsets from some ultra leather. The bonings were zip ties. I also had to make 3 cloaks. I actually finished with two days to spare.

She is doing a biography on Jane Austen next month and I let her know I'd make her a regency dress for the presentation.

These are fantastic! They remind me of the peasant dresses that Aurora, Snow White, and Cinderella wear, but not all tatterred like theirs are.

Cute, simple outfits (minus the corsets, not as simple as possible) and quite adorable.
