I live in a standard, cheap one bedroom apartment with my little boy. We're pretty restricted on what we can do with the place (we're not even allowed to have fish!!). My little guy's toys used to be all in the living room, including his thousands of collars in Legos . . one day I got totally sick of all of it, moved EVERYTHING into his own room and decided to make my living room more adult-like. I've always admired the beautiful wall decals on etsy (which I will be ordering when I finally buy a house), but until then, I decided to make my own:

coming from someone who is scared to put even a nail in the wall, I think this it came out pretty awesome!!!!
supplies - clear shelf liner and cheap acrylic paint. I made a whole bunch of circles in 'Paint' and went to town Smiley

Love these!  Did you print them at all or do everything free hand?

You don't need a permit for a glue gun.

Love the circles.  Have you heard of the starch method? You can use starch to adhear fabric cuts to walls for a splash of color. The best part, when you want it to come down, you just peel it off and wipe the wall with water. No mess! I did clouds in my daughters room. We're in a strict apartment as well, and the method is perfect.

I just made a bunch of circles in the Paint program....ringed circles so I didn't have to cut AS much though omg it was still a lot of cutting!

very cool... I don't have the strict rules cause I am buying my house but think that I might do something like this myself.  I am the type that has to move things when I get bored with the look of a room.... this will save the walls making easier to move things... Thanks!
