A pair of earrings I made for my mom. The glass "stones" are actually pink, not white like they look in the photo.

Very beautiful! How did you make them?

Thank you!
First I drew the shape I wanted on paper (that's the shape without the dangly strings at the buttom). I traced it 4 times (2 for each earring) on my fabric and cut it. Then I glued to 2 of the fabric pieces the stones (2 pink round stones for each earring). After it dried I sewed on the drop pearls (on the same fabric pieces I glues the crystal stones on). I chose my first bead colour (pink) and embroidered around the stones and pearl. Then I added the turquoise round. After that I did the upper part in blue and some yellow - again in rounds. Then I sewed on the three long beads (long white) and then the beads between them (I chose to do the middle part in different colours and the side parts in only blue). At this point you have two earrings, without the dangly strings, and without backs.
Now the trickier part - you take the other two pieces of fabric you cut, and you sew them to the back of the beaded earrings. This way it protects the stitches inside, and also if you do an necklace or bracelet this way it's nicer on your skin. You can glue it but I recommend sewing - only around the edges, it doesn't have to be the neatest thing since you won't see it anyway, the beads hide it.
Then you add the dangly bits at the bottom, add as many strings as you want, or no at all. Then you add the earring at the top - you can sew it on but I just hooked it on a stitched thread.

I used nylon thread, an embroidery needle, and faux leather for these.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask again if something isn't clear or if you run into any problems.
