I received from mezcraft!

First up, an awesome picture frame:

Apparently that's the photo that came with the frame. I'm glad it's there because I'm not sure yet what I'll put in there...

And next, this awesome metal bird wall art!

Close-up of the bird:

I love this so very much. Thanks mezcraft!

I am so glad you liked it! My cat had a field day with the bird one and knocked it off my table! I had to repair him and I don't think you can tell, but boy was I ever mad!

mezzcraft, those are both so cool. What is the frame made out of? Is it a mix of poly clay and metal? I keep looking at it.

That bird rocks socks.

I'm fascinated by art made of bits and pieces that looks like a coherent and logical whole - because when I try that kind of thing, I just end up with a whole bunch of bits and pieces glued together. Smiley

The picture frame is actually made out of painted cardboard, With apoxiesculpt fake screws and bolts. I also added a toothpick, a couple of gears, and dooddads.

Everything is looking so great. You people are so creative! That bird! And the metal movable doll with accessories! And office supplies--I never would have thought.  Great work all!

What are TM patches?

Thanks, mezzcraft! I've never heard of apoxiesculpt, but anyway, you did a great job painting-it really looks rusty! And fabo birdie!

TM patches-that stands for Teesha Moore. There's a craftalong, I think, and a lot of bags and journals and such on craftster made that style. You take a small square of fabric, sew and embellish it with beads, buttons, or just  the stitching, whatever you like! You make little 'pillows', with decorated fabric, a filling (flannel, fleece, ect) and a backing, contrasting fabric. Stitch around the edge-blanket stitch, ect. When you ahve several, you put them together and make something. Recently here I've seen a Hunger Games themed one, and a Harry Potter themed one. As well as oodles with no theme.
Let me see if I can find a link-

There's a gallery, with links.

The Teesha Moore inspired work is actually a swap that is in the gallery now. Take a look and you will be amazed. My partner and I decided to add Steampunk TM patches to our swap. Warning...they are addictive.
