Details of swap:
In the style of all ongoing swaps, the ongoing inchie swap was first launched by nilmerg during the holiday season of 2011.  We are trying to hold one every month and a half, with a month or so layover.

For anyone who is not sure what and inchie is or how to go about making one, here is a great post on the papercraft forums by phizzychick (who makes amazing inchies!) http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=303188.0

You will need to make a list of at least 8 themes for people to choose from. I will put up my list first and will wrap up the swap by making the last claim. Once you claim you will need to craft and send 8 inchies of the chosen theme and send them within 2 weeks of the claim date.

Everyone is encouraged to join.  If you can contain your art to a square of 1 inch, you can make an inchie!  With that said, please make your inchies with love and care.  Whether you paint, print, stamp, color, draw, ink or embellish, spend a bit of time and energy making the inchies you send to the best of your ability.  Everyone you claim should receive inchies you are proud to have made and would love to recieve.  If you are intimidated by the 1 inch of space or because you've never made an inchie before, we are hoping to plan a beginners inchie swap (not limited only to beginners, of course  Wink) towards the end of this swap.  They are a lot of fun, and a great way to experiment with the inchie techniques, if you are unsure.

Friends of craftster will be allowed 5 claims, people who have completed one swap or more may make 3 claims and new swappers may claim once, and 3 times once the first claim has been recieved. Once these claims have been received, you may claim again. You can make as many (or as few) claims as you want throughout the duration of the swap as long as you never go over your allowed amount of outstanding claims. (An outstanding claim is a set of inchies that has not been received; when that set is received your number of outstanding claims goes down leaving you open to claim again.)

Making a claim:
When you make a claim please use the following layout in the swap forum:

Hi!  I'm Kim, from Louisiana, originally from PA.  I'm adverse to anything political or propaganda-ish.  I don't mind artful nudity or a bit of gore (since I'm a total sucker for horror movies), but my style is mostly whimsical, bright, modern, happy stuff.  Bordering on cute.  Cute is definitely okay.  I like dimensional elements, but I do plan on framing, so nothing thicker than a tile would be great as far as how you make mine, please.
A combination of my themes is great.  If you would like to do 1 of 8 different ones, just claim me for the one that sparks your interest initially.  Translate my themes however you would like.

Animals doing human like things (wearing clothes, playing poker, whatever)
Wizard of Oz/ Alice in Wonderland
Or your favorite fairy tale
Anything relating to Hippie/ 60s/ 70s/ Retro
Rainbows (and I get a big kick out of things that aren't traditionally rainbow - see profile pic)
Classic rock
My favorite TV shows or movies (listed in my profile)
Fantasy or mythical creatures (mermaids, unicorns, gryphons, dragons)
Cute or googley eyed animals (owls, peacocks, wild animals are favorites)
Something related to the states I'm from (Pennsylvania, California, Louisiana)
Italian food/ chef stuff/ relating to Italy
An inchie version of your masterpiece! (Favorite thing you made)
Art/ Art Supplies (from crayons to sewing machines)
Moveable inchie
Things with wings (normal things with wings or inanimate objects having wings)
Theatre/ Musicals
Something Shakespeare
Made primarily not out of paper
Mini version of a masterpiece (Escher's Eye, Mona Lisa's mouth etc)
Matryoshkas
Inspired by pinterest
Floating in the sky
So ugly its cute
Fluffy Cats (especially black and white, all white, and fat grey ones!)
Things you see while walking in the woods
Inspired by your favorite era
Glitter
Favorite children's book
Colorful nature

Quasior Claiming Kimchery for glitter and mythical creatures

First claim  Wink

Hi I'm Julie from Tasmania Australia.
I don't mind mostly what I receive as long as it relates to my themes, I'm going to reuse most of the themes I had from the last OIS, because I still love them.  What I would like to stipulate is simply I'm doing a rainbow inchie piece, so I would like the inchies in mainly one colour, and lots of different colours would be great  Cheesy For example you made me a nature inchie, of the ocean it might be marine blue or turquoise green as the main colour, or yellow for a beach one but the other bits could be other colours.  I like bold colours like rainbow brite.  It's all good  Smiley

My themes:
1. Nature (like flowers, fields, mountains, seascapes)
2. Neil Gaiman characters ie Morpheus, Delirium, Shadow, Coraline
3. gothic
4. pagan
5  anime
6. Artist's Choice (I liked that idea from the last one)
7. supernatural creatures (monsters, vamps, werewolves, mermaids, fairies) cute is fine, just not pastel perhaps
8. animals

Thanks, hope I see lots of Inchie-ists this time around, from last time and new!

PS If you have little crafty children, my children are keen to get on board and make some 'extra' inchies/twinchies if you would like to do this.
