Elephant playin' a tune

I haven't posted in here in what feels like forever so I must remedy that right now! 

I stitched this hoop up for canamharris in the Ongoing Hoopla. She wanted a Kurt Halsey inspired hoop. Having never heard of that artist, I just had to do some research and immediately fell in love! His work is playful and whimsical. This particular piece just popped out at me.

"STITCH ME!" it said. lol

And so, I did.



The elephant is very lightly crayon tinted in grey with little bits of pink on his ears and feet.

My 6 yr old seriously wanted to keep this hoop for her own hoopla wall. Guess I'll have to make another...
