Mouse-overs for front page?

Sometimes as I'm looking at the pictures from recent posts on the front page, it's not obvious what the project is.

Would it be possible for the subject tag to come up as a mouse-over when you hover your pointer over the picture? 

Just an idea I thought I'd seen done on other websites that might be nice here.

I like this idea! Although I sometimes like the surprise when a project turns out waaaay different than what I thought from the thumbnail.

I was wondering if it would be possible to add a mouseover alt-tag/alt-attribute to the thumbnail pics for featured projects, hot new projects, etc that are on the home page or within each category, that say what the thread title is when the mouse is hovered over the pic? For instance, if I hovered the mouse over the pic of the girl in the red dress (under hot new projects on the home page), a tag would pop up with the thread title "my first clothing line! (picture explosion)."

The reason I ask is because the site has a lot of "stuff;" a big banner, lots of side bars, a ton of pics etc that take forever to load. This isn't a bad thing in itself, but can be frustrating when I'm trying to view the newest threads. Sometimes I'm in a hurry and just want to view threads that directly interest me, but I end up having to spend a lot of time weeding through the threads because the thumbnails don't always give a clues as to what the thread is about. I end up clicking on a thread that I want to come back to later, but then have to commit to waiting out the load time for both the thread and the home page again. I have the super fast internet, too!

Anyway, the alt-tag would at least give us an idea of what we will see if we click on a pic, and I for one think that would be nice. I don't know if this will work in a WYSIWYG (rather than HTML) post, but here's an example of what I mean (also here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alt_attribute).

The result should be the phrase "hover your mouse here," and when you do, the tag that pops up should say "isn't this sooooo cool!" Anyway, thanks for making this such a great site, 200K strong, way to go!

I was thinking the same thing! Having just sought out the suggestions board, I admit I'm a tad disappointed to see that this feature suggestion is now 3 years old. I know that this is a common feature for many gallery-based sites, and I was wondering if it would be feasible to implement on Craftster as well. However I don't know enough about coding to know how easy or difficult it would be to put in place. Feedback on this suggestion would be appreciated! Thanks~

I know there are GreaseMonkey scripts for other websites that do this.  I wish I knew how to write code.
