I did this one in oils. It's of my daughter-in-law and my grandson Christian. Christian is a twin and when one of them asks me (individually) which of them is in the painting. I would whisper in his ear, YOU are!!"

This painting never had a name and so I wasn't prepared for the simple fact that one would be required when posting it here. And so off the top of my head I spit out "One to One" which I really didn't care for at all but figured I would change it anyway later that day. Of course I forgot about it. But I remembered to take care of it today! Instead of coming up with one of those abstract who-knows-what-the-heck-it-means names, I prefer to give you more of a direct cue than that. That said, I have blatantly named this painting "In Her Hands."

I'm totally impressed! A friend of mine made quite a similar one, but with "real" persons it is a lot more touching.
Wish, I could paint like that... sigh

It is absolutely beautiful. What an amazing gift (both your talent and the painting itself!). I would be so happy if someone painted something like this for me! Your DIL and grandson(s) are very fortunate!

Wow. I really love your shades and play of shadows across the baby's face. Detailed earring gives beautiful little twinkle and your work on their both hands is amazing! Only thing that bothers me is that bulk of hair right in front of woman's eye but all-in-all it is a very nice balanced combination.
