I've had it one time in high school. I don't really remember what it tasted like. Does anyone know what it's called? Is it a type of mochi? I think I didn't think it was very sweet back then, but my tastes have changed now and I want to try to make some.

By the colors, it looks like hishi mochi but those are squared I believe.  Undecided looks yummy I hope you find out

It's dango and fairly easy to make!  It's essentially a mochi ball (glutinous rice) colored with food coloring or matcha powder wrapped around red bean (azuki) paste.

***I don't do personal swaps - I was flaked on and it was not a great experience, however I am open to commissions***
