My first try at bead embroidery. I saw some great things online and thought I'd give it a try. It's a bit on the huge side so I don't know who would actually wear it, but I'm rather satisfied with my first attempt. The "stones" are polymer clay (first time touching that since I was about five... not really satisfied with that part but oh well). Let me know what you think!

I used Robin Atkin's awesome tutorial, which you can find as a free e-book online, to learn the basics.

It's a big statement ethnic piece, I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd wear it: me for instance!
I like it, full of earthy colours.

Antidigger: Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. I myself wouldn't wear something this large, I think it takes a lot more self-confidence than I have! But I'm glad to hear you would wear it!

Twinkle409: I have to say I don't really understand what you meant - I didn't use an existing pattern, just sort of whinged it as I went.

This is beautiful!  It would be fabulous with the right outfit.  I'd wear it, too!

Thank you! If I would wear it, it would have to be over a simple black tee or dress, since it has a prominent presence.

Thank you both! You are too kind.
KLKing - I am actually making another one at the moment, for my mom. It'll be smaller, more simple and with a different colour scheme, since my mom doesn't wear "big" jewelry, but I'm quite excited about how it's turning out so far. I'll be sure to post it when I finish!
