I'll have a go at tardis wrist warmers - or maybe dalek ones. Wink

Always - are you doing only embroidery or cross stitch too? I've done lots of cross stitch, but have not tried embroidery yet, so wonder how it will be stitching onto normal fabric instead of cross stitch fabric. Shocked  Also, is it very hard to do embroidery on darker fabrics (what is the fabric called you used for your Doctors? Who's the designer, if you don't mind me asking?)? I know it's really hard for cross stitch, as you have to search for the holes. Smiley Sorry for all those questions, I'm currently browsing online for fabrics I could use for the DW-SAL but cannot decide if I should go for lighter or darker fabrics.

Thanks.

basically, you take the free pattern and lay it on the fabric...I tape it to my working area...you lay a piece of this transfer paper, which is white, under the pattern and draw on the fabric...I use a wooden stylus which has a rounded end...then you just stitch however you want...I am not an accomplished stitcher.. I just stab and pull and stab again..a running stitch? or backstitch?  Whatever I feel like...

The fabric I used is plain old quilters cotton from Joann Fabrics that I got for 40% off a yard...

I can cross stitch, but I am struggling with cross stitching on fabric as you have to use waste canvas and for me, it is very hard!

I made this pillowcase for my little sister, she's the one who introduced me to Doctor Who. The Don't Blink is done with embroidery floss and the pillowcase was a simple pattern. I'm pretty sure this'll get me favorite sister status forever!

Some things I made for a fellow Whovian, a Dalek Hat, a penny bracelet, and some cards.

Thank you! I actually used a BloPen for the background. I think painting would have been a lot less work on my lungs though!
