Ok, i want to know, i need a crochet hook size 3mm. So what size is that in US? Have looked on line dont show one. But in Japanese. I got a 3.25. So will it work?

My guess is that that would be a D size. My C size is a 2.75 and My E is a 3.50, so a D is somewhere in the middle. According to :http://www.purplekittyyarns.com/info/crochet-hook-conversion.html there is no US size the same as a 3 mm, unless you can find a uk/canadian size 11

Yep, size D is the closest you'll get.  Your 3.25 is  an 0 in string hooks, Size wise, it depends on the pattern how critical the size of the needle is.  I usually do OK with a little bigger hook because I tend to crochet tight.

If it's for an ami, you won't have a problem.  If it's for something wearable, check your gauge.  I usually have to go up two hook sizes because I'm a tight hooker.

Also I think that 3.25 would work ok. I never use the size that a pattern says and have never had a problem.
