I have 9 of these 24" blocks. I was planning to add 2" sashing in purple (that's the solid color, looks a little blue in pics). Now I'm not sure though. Would love some advice!

I like the first picture best! It's just a bit less busy, the blocks are more distinct.
So gorgeous BTW. I wants it.

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.

I would go with the sashing as it gives the quilt a more finished look.

I like both layouts, but I prefer the un-sashed version because of the secondary 4-diamond design that shows up.  It's just more visually interesting to me.  My eye flows over the quilt and is kept busy by the multiple patterns and keeps looking for more.  In the sashed version, I just see the individual blocks, which are pretty but not as dynamic on their own, in my opinion.  The previous posters have excellent points too, though.

I also lean towards the first layout with the sashing. I think the purple border helps make all the other colors in the quilt stand out.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

Thanks for all the input! I went with the sashing and am in the process of quilting now. Will post pics when I finish.
