Umm, if this is your first time sewing, then you must have done a lot of it in a past life or something because your projects are totally awesome.  the shorts are adorable - I love the pattern, buttons and fabric you  chose.  And the dress is so cute, too - great pairing with the belt.  I would totally wear that. Nice job!
