My First Sweater!

Ok, so I decided that my goal was to finish a sweater before my 1 year knitaversary... and I made it! I started learning to knit around February 8, 2011, and I finished this sweater on February 5 (started knitting this on January 5, so took exactly a month of intense knitting time, lol). I'm so happy with it!! Thank you! This pattern was just beautiful, not too hard, but interesting enough (I love cables) to keep me from getting bored. I wore it for the first time today, and got lots of random compliments from strangers!

Nice work!  Beautiful yarn and cables....and everything!  I've made a cabled sweater, and it does seem to go faster when you have some interest to break up long stretches of plain stockinette.
