I'm starting with the greens on this one:

Here's a close-up:

I was working on this yesterday while my fiance played the Mass Effect 3 demo (he just can't wait until the actual game comes out).  This blanket might end up being the thing I make while being an ME3 widow Tongue

It's already looking very interesting! I fear I myself don't have enough scraps or patience for crocheting blankets, but there's some cool stuff here Smiley

Thanks ladies!

I've now finished one pattern repeat!

I should maybe think about doing something else today... or something. ^_-

It is just dc stitches with some ch10 spaces thrown in. At the end you kind of chain up those ch10 spaces to make a braided look. It's called Jacob's Ladder.

Usually Jacob's Ladders go in a straight line, but that's just not how I roll. Grin

I was going to wait until the very end to do the laddering, but I just couldn't wait to see what it will look like.

I'm going to undo it now, as it'll just fall out as I'm working on it anyway - it'll be the last row that holds it all together.

I think when I do this up for real I'm going to cross the ones at the bottom, too, to bring the lines closer together.  It'll take some experimenting, I think!

I'm making some good progress.  I'm just past the half-way mark (doing 6 pattern repeats, 3.5 shown)

I finished! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=404702.0

Just need to re-wind some of the smaller-now scraps and prep for the next one.  I'm thinking log cabin this time. ^_^
