This is my second quilt and my first time using the Braided method.
I purchased the Moda Jelly Roll and found this complementary design:
http://www.unitednotions.com/MBS-sultry-jelly-roll.pdf
However being true to my Dive Right In and NEVER unpick method of teaching myself how to quilt,
I realised about 30mins into the sewing that I didn't have the right amount of colours and then went off on a tangent to create this:

It has turned out to be a double lap rug (2m by 1.50m or 80 x 60).
It's a gift for wonderful friends (who live in Canada) celebrating their Silver Anniversary. I live in Australia and the colours were chosen to reflect Mexico where my friends holiday each year.
C&C welcome

The photo's are from my phone. I'll update them later with better one.

Oh thanks Ladies for the feedback!
I'm excited as this is my 2nd project posted on Craftster.
I forgot to say that it's a "Stitch in the Ditch" style quilt.

I love the colors you used here! I've seen that pattern before but have always passed it by because I just can't get past the colors they used. After seeing yours though, this one is going straight to the top of my list!

Atmomma -> I know exactly what you're talking about! Those pastels are not what I'd pick and I found them confusing when I was trying to work out the pattern. I went off on my own design because I misread the way the put the colours together. I didn't realise that they use their board colours within the braids.
But in the end it came together even though I just kept making it up as I went along. My favorite part is the binding -> making it didn't take that long but it really brings the colours together.
