What kind of material do I need to use to line a swimsuit?  An most importantly, where can I find it?  I thought I was looking for something called "tricot" but I can't seem to find that on the denverfabrics.com website I'm ordering the outer fabric from.  Is it called something else or do I need to order from another retailer?  Thank you!

Try searching for sport or dance-wear fabrics.

I had to make black and white colour-blocked spandex leggings for a friend's costume, and the lady at the fabric store steered me to "dance-wear" fabric. The appropriate lining fabric was right there with them, in a medium beige sort of colour. The dance-wear fabrics were polyester-spandex, very stretchy horizontally and moderately stretchy vertically.

I know it's not the same as swimsuit lining, which is softer and not as elastic, but if you can't find it, at least you now know of another option. Best of luck Cheesy

i did a quick search and found http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/480896235/nylon_spandex_swimwear_lining_fabric.html its just called swimwear lining fabric...i also found a tutorial http://everydaychaos.wordpress.com/2010/06/14/the-summer-necessity-swimsuit-tutorial/ here for a childs swim suit and in the spot she put the materials needed it was also just called swimsuit lining fabric. Your best bet might be to go to a store and ask for it like that and theyll find what you need. ebay also has a few listed http://www.ebay.com/sch/Crafts-/14339/i.html?_nkw=swimsuit+lining&_catref=1&_sac=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m1538 if you have to buy online.

Thanks for the responses.  I actually found some at Hancock Fabrics!  I was very surprised to find some in a store, I was afraid I'd have to order it online.
