Hey all, perhaps you can help me out!  Today, my Mummsie found out that her application was approved and she's become a certified genealogist (family tree researcher).  I want to make her something crafty, yet super usable as a gift.  I've thought of maybe stenciling her a tote bag so she can carry her client work around, with a tree on it, but was wonder if maybe anyone had any great ideas?

Let me know what you think!

what abot buying some plant (looking like a little tree) and putting photos of your closer family on it, like a "real" family tree.
if it has to be a little more practical, a bag is rather good, but perhaps you could stitch instead of stencil and make some things stand out, like some flowers or fruit with beads or something like that.

I think there was a tree swap not that long ago-- check out the gallery and maybe there are some ideas!  I remember seeing an awesome tree bag in there!   Wink

Thanks for the ideas!  I'll be sure to check out that swap...  I do like the stitching instead of stenciling, it would make it stand out more.  Thnx! Grin
