I have never used PMC before so I don't know how much I will need for a project.A friend wants me to make a bat about 3 inches long about 1 or 1/2 inches tall.About how many grams would I need for a project like that?
Thanks!

depending on how thick you intend on making it you might be able to get away with one of the small squares of black  like this http://www.amazon.com/Premo-Sculpey-Polymer-Clay-Translucent/dp/B00114PWWU (though the one in the pic isnt actually black) to be safe you could always get two of them..theyre typically about $2-$2.50 in the craft stores so you wouldnt have to spend too much money on it and you might end up with some left overs to play around with.
