I have been wanting to make a skinny strap hipster bag for a while now....I finally found some time!

I kept it simple....a zip closure and a slip pocket on both sides of the exterior.  I'm usually a "big bag" type of girl, but now that my kids are getting older the need for carrying around a ton of stuff is diminishing.  I'm really loving these!

Thanks for looking!

I love the prints!
I'm not usually a green type of girl, but seeing someone walk around with that would make me go "damn. I want that."  Grin

I love these!  I don't even have kids but I always seem to need a large bag anyway.  But these are really awesome.  Smiley  And the colors are great!

Gorgeous bag. My little sister would love something like this to carry around her sketch book and pencils in. Such a great design.

These are great. Sometimes, simple is better! I love the fabrics you chose, too!

Oh I love that fabric. I was thinking about making a small bag like that and now I think that's exactly what I have to do. I'm usually carrying around enough stuff in my purse to survive in the wilderness for a week

For those of you interested, I ended up drafting the pattern for this bag.  You can find it here: http://sewplicity.blogspot.com/2012/03/new-pattern-small-hip-bag.html
