Had these geode slices forever, and finally figured out what to do with them.

Enjoy!

Just beautiful! I love the complimenting colors of the glass nuggets too -- they really play off the geode very nicely. And I love how they almost look like they are suspended in mid-air!

I actually have a friend who inherited a house from a friend of his family's, and one of the guy's hobbies was making stained glass.  The house has at least 3-4 stained glass windows, and a couple do have geode slices in them.  Smiley

This is absolutely gorgeous!

Nice!  I have a few agate slices that I'm saving, too.  I figure when the time is right they'll tell me.  Smiley

Beautiful!
Was it difficult to apply the copper tape around the geode?
How about the glass beads?

The geode was pretty easy.  The outer edge is pretty rough as it is, so it doesn't really need ground, just burnished really well.  The nuggets are a different story. :/ Each nugget is ground all the way around, and the copper foil will stick rather well.  Not really all that difficult, just quite tedious.  And I'm insanely picky, so I burnish the nuggets, also.

Many thanks to everyone for the lovely comments!  They are most appreciated.   Grin

That geode is absolutely gorgeous. What a great use, much better than letting a rock sit on your windowsill.
