I named it this because the colors remind me of the painting not because it looks like it.

This is a triangle log cabin block done via paper piecing.  It's my first dabble in value fabric placement although it's not that well done.  I used up nearly all my blue scraps and had to swap with a friend for more dark blues.

It's a baby gift for my assistant.  Hmm, any questions?  Thanks for looking!

Oh yeah, the blue star background glows in the dark!  Awesome!

This is great - I see the color reference to the painting - good name for this quilt.  You did a remarkable job - I admire the log cabin triangles.  I've not seen those done before - just beautiful.   Smiley

Thank you fiddle girl Smiley

I also forgot to say that I did a quilt sandwich rather than binding.  I wanted the edges to be clean and I thought it'd be faster which it turned out to not be.  Each of the strips were 1.5" so there was really a lot of piecing for a quilt that's only 42x48" so I thought that skipping traditional binding might be a small shortcut.

That's really cool!  I think you did a great job with the balance of different values.  And bravo for working with all those angles... omg, I hate sewing triangles.  Good job!

Thank you Smiley

The blocks were really fragile because of the triangles, I had to fight against the tendencies for the triangles to get mishapen.  I don't think I'll make another triangle quilt for a long time although I love love this one.

This quilt is so pretty, and the pattern is great with the fabrics you used.
