Daughter has been obsessed with Harry Potter lately and wanted to do something Potterish for her Valentines this year.  I'm one of the mean moms that make my kids bring something other than candy, so we decided on bouncy balls made into golden snitches.

Aren't they just the cutest!

Supplies:  Bouncy Balls (6 for a $1 at Dollar Tree), Wing outlines (we did ours on cardstock to be more sturdy), Gold foil squares you can get from the chocolates/candy section of your local hobby store ($3ish), glue gun or could use tape.

Get one gold foil and wrap one around a ball.

Glue a strip in the center and push on your ball (or tape the strip to the ball).

Tada!

Do it about thirty more times for all the kids in the class. LOL

Here's a template I made to make your lives easier.  Wink

Thanks for looking!  Daughter is so excited for Valentines day and to show off her snitches!

Those are fantastic! What a great idea! I also love that you're a "mean" Mom who DOESN'T send candy. Candy is gone in a couple of days... bouncy balls last until... well, until someone bounces it onto a roof or something, but still! Great job!

What good are Potter Valentines without a good Potter Valentine Box to go with it?
Here's the Monster Book of Monster Valentines.
