Ok, so here is another multi-medium (is that even a term?) piece. Certain components are polymer clay, others are not.

First attempts- these are the size of miniature cupcakes.

I made a ton more of the minis but my frosting attempts were atrocious!

Here are my full sized ones. They are the size of full sized real life cupcakes and I swear if I didn't know any better, I would be trying to lick the frosting!

I put watermarks on the following photos for a couple reasons. A lot more things float around in cyberspace and since the introduction of pinterest, it is hard to get credit for original art. And since I am both proud of the items and these particular photos, I watermarked them. I am in fact, so proud of the photos that I ordered a couple of high quality prints from a professional print lab in order to frame and hang in my kitchen! Hahaha!

Anyway, I love comments so tell me what you think!

These are FAR too realistic looking.  Definitely making me hungry.  They're beautiful, though!

LOVE! Did you use anything in the bottom to weight them differently or just the frosting? It would be even crazier to have the right texture in the liner, like a foam piece.

The bottom is heavy. They weigh about 6.5 oz. I am working out a method on some new ones with foam, paint and clay to create the perfect cupcake texture for a domed effect. I have yet to perfect it yet but it is on it's way...

It's a mixture of four elements which I can tell you one of which is clay. I just worked really hard to make the mixtures perfect. Thank you!
